Purpose and Objectives

Our purpose is to bring awareness of the true hope contained in the Bible and the full gospel of Christ to our community through the Bible Exhibition. We do this because we believe that to spread the word is a correct application of the commandments of Christ (e.g. Mark 16:15, Matthew 28:19-20) and in this way we show our gratitude to God who has had others teach us the truth of the Bible. We preach in love so that everyone will repent, believe in the Kingdom of God, be baptised in to Christ, and so become heirs of the promises of God (cf. Mark 1:14-15, Acts 2:38-39, 22:16, Galatians 3:26-29).

Our objectives include:

  • Broadening the community's awareness about the depth and importance of the Bible message. According to the Bible, there is only one hope and one gospel (cf. Ephesians 4:4, Galatians 1:7). Therefore it is critical that everyone has the opportunity to hear the real Bible based God given hope, not one that is false. It is vital that we understand the full gospel of the Kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ (cf. Acts 8:12), not just part of the story and this can be done from a greater appreciation of the Bible.
  • Providing information about Bible translations suitable for your appreciation level and increasing your awareness of Bible study tools.  Today God communicates to us through the Bible. When we read it He speaks to us and from this book we can draw closer to Him. We can provide Bible reading planners, examples of study tools and show you how to use them, giving you the tools and assistance to learn to read the Bible effectively for yourself! We can provide on-line resources such as Bible study courses and booklets on interesting topics.
  • Providing you with relevant Bible based activites to increase your Bible appreciation . This includes onsite courses and talks in addition to one on one tuition or Bible discussions and seminars.

All of the foregoing is meant to facilitate the responsibility each person bears to search out God and His precious Word of Truth. In providing help for people to get back-to-the-Bible, God's Word will become their source for informed individual and communal religion.
